I have personally handled thousands of criminal cases in both L.A. and Orange County.  I have had numerous cases dismissed and many cases in which the prosecutors declined to file charges.

BEWARE OF FIRMS THAT:

1. Make you guarantees that your case will be dismissed. 

2. Take your money and assign it to another attorney to handle.

3. Have very little experience as a law firm.

4. Are too busy to handle your case.

5. Won't explain to you in detail the immediate and collateral (long-term) consequences of a No-Contest Plea.

Many other firms will take your money and farm your case out to an inexperienced attorney.   Ask the perspective firm whether they will handle your case personally.  Ask that attorney how many criminal cases have they personally handled as a lawyer.  Ask them how many jury trials they have personally been the lead counsel on.  Most importantly, ask questions before you make payment.  Remember, hire an attorney who knows what they are doing and has the experience, confidence and time to represent you adequately in court.
